From a chiropractic perspective, addressing a frozen shoulder involves a combination of techniques aimed at restoring joint mobility and reducing pain. Here's a brief overview: 1. Chiropractic Adjustments: Targeting the spine, particularly the neck and upper back, can help improve overall nervous system function and may indirectly influence shoulder mobility. 2. Soft Tissue Therapy: Techniques such as massage and myofascial release can help alleviate muscle tension around the shoulder, promoting better movement and reducing discomfort. 3. Stretching and Strengthening Exercises: Specific exercises designed to restore range of motion and strengthen the muscles around the shoulder joint are crucial. These should be performed gently and within pain-free limits. 4. Joint Mobilization: Gentle, direct manipulation of the shoulder joint can help increase its range of motion. 5. Patient Education: Understanding the condition, its natural progression, and the importance of active participation in treatment is vital for recovery. It's important to note that recovery from a frozen shoulder can be a slow process, often taking several months. A multidisciplinary approach, sometimes incorporating physical therapy and medical management alongside chiropractic care, can be beneficial. Remember, this information is for educational purposes only and does not replace a thorough evaluation and diagnosis by a healthcare professional. Best regards, Dr. Evan Hamilton
I have found that acupuncture can help frozen shoulder really quickly.
First you must determine if primary or secondary adhesive capsulitis ie frozen shoulder usually a MRI after orthopedic evaluation. Physical therapy, anti inflammatory, consider intra articular injection, or surgery if all else fails. Really no quick fix.
