What kind of tests are done for headaches?

I have headaches for nearly 2 weeks. I want to see a neurologist. What kind of tests are done for headaches?

New-onset headaches usually need a brain MRI/CT.
There are no standard tests. An assessment starts with a history and examination by a qualified specialist.
Typically, brain imaging and bloodwork including CBC, electrolytes, thyroid panel, inflammatory markers
For headaches, the most common tests are imaging studies such as a CT scan or an MRI. Other tests may be ordered as well pending assessment of what is happening.

Testing often is not done, but could include blood tests, skull X-ray, a CAT scan, or MRI.
