Your physician will determine the class of antibiotic & duration of treatment with antibiotics if that is indicated for your condition after completing his/ her examination to verify the presence of a prostatectomy infection. On occasions, a specialist ie. Urologist might be consulted to offer a course of action to treat your prostate. Differentiating between infection , inflammation, pelvic floor or rectal conditions must be considered, in addition to the possibility of prostrate cancer.
