I am a 40 year old female. I want to know what percentage of gastric bypass patients regain weight?

Most studies have shown that 50% will gain their weight back.
This is best addressed by a bariatric surgeon, but the vast majority (>90%) of patients lose weight, at least initially. Over years however, the weight will often come back, though not to the original pre-surgery weight. This can be seen as wide U-shaped graph of weight change over time.
If the person starts to eat large amounts to food again, she will regain the weight she lost by enlarging her gastric pouch.
