There are several medications for anxiety and panic, antidepressants may work best for long term anxiety management.

Generally speaking, a benzodiazepine is prescribed often for anxiety, however, this is not the case in all mental health diagnosis situations as it may be a combination of other prescribed medications that may oftentimes help with the treatment of various mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression together for example.
