Could be monitored anesthesia care with regional block, or general anesthesia with local anesthetic application or regional ankle block. All of the above are equally acceptable with minimal risks involved.
It depends on the type of foot surgery. If it is a smaller procedure they
can use local anesthesia with MAC. If it is a larger and more complicated
surgery they may need to use General Anesthesia.
The type of anesthesia used for foot surgery depends on exactly the site and depth of the planned surgery, as well as the length of the case and the possible use of a tourniquet.  Of course the patient’s condition and feelings are paramount.  Many foot surgeries are accomplished with local anesthesia with sedation.
MAC with nerve block
Anesthesia will vary based on procedure and doctor preference. I recommend you discuss with your surgeon the options available
We use a combination of local/regional anesthesia with either general anesthesia or conscious sedation. There are several determining factors, including patient preference and physician preference, but also comorbidities and other health related issues
