I will have gallbladder surgery. What type of sedation is used for gallbladder surgery?

G>B surgery is usually done under General Anesthesia
General anesthesia for gallbladder surgery. You cannot have the procedure done with only sedation. Preoperatively, you will given a sedative with versed, an anti-anxiety drug.
Usually not sedation, but a General Anesthetic. Pt fully asleep.

Even with Laparoscopic surgery, usually need pt abdomen relaxed,

Usually with low dose muscle relaxant.

All drugs usually are rapidly metabolized, with little hangover,

And good post op pain relief.
