Your mouth can change over time. The average life of a partial denture is 5 years, but can vary based on other dental and health factors. Your partial denture should be changed when it is no longer fitting well, and is no longer serviceable, which will be different for each person. Visiting your dentist for check-up and cleanings at least 2 x a year is the best way to have your partial monitored and evaluated for proper fit.
When that have sign of wear or be some uncomfortable
When you have lost more teeth or when they appear worn or become loose. If the partials are lifting or the clasps break you should consider replacing them.
If your partials are working well there is no reason to change them. If you are having problems many times this can also be addressed by an evaluation/modification.
Partials should be replaced whn they start to show signs of wear usually every 5 years.
