Thank you for your question. If you are trying to get pregnant, the sooner you start treatment the faster you may see results. Just know, however that the Acupuncture does not guarantee that you will get pregnant. There are many factors that can affect getting pregnant. The first Thing I would recommend is getting a consultation with an Acupuncturist that specializes in fertility in your area so you can get more information that is appropriate for your case.
Good Luck! Sincerely, Yours in Health!
Most women end up starting when they realize they are having trouble getting pregnant on their own, and then continue throughout the pregnancy \. But if you know you want to start trying soon, starting treatments is always a good choice. Just make sure to let your acupuncturist know where you are in your pregnancy journey.
Acupuncture for fertility is done for preconception. You can start whenever you are ready. Usually, people get acupuncture preconception and then throughout the pregnancy to support the healthy growth of the baby and to ease the symptoms of being pregnant as well as promote a smooth birthing process. And then post-birth to support rebuilding the mother's vitality.
Acupuncture can be used for many fertility-related conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), fibroids, endometriosis, and even to help protect the ovaries and improve the quality of sperm. It can also relieve some of the side effects of taking fertility medications (such as bloating and nausea).

We usually recommend that women begin acupuncture 3 months prior to starting fertility treatments such as IVF or IUI. During your first visit, the acupuncturist will ask about your lifestyle (diet, stress levels, exercise, sleep habits) and your concerns about fertility. The acupuncturist will perform a physical examination, including taking your pulse and viewing your tongue. Personalized treatments for each client.

You can start acupuncture treatments at any time however, it is recommended to receive treatments 1-2 times a week for 3 menstrual cycles in order to regulate your cycle. I would recommend starting as soon as possible if you are looking to conceive.
For fertility, we recommend starting the treatment whenever you are ready.
If you are married with no birth control, don’t get pregnant for 2 years. You should look for Acupuncture help.
The main focus is to get your menstrual cycle flowing properly & regularly. Any time is best to start acupuncture, but if you want to be the more conservative focus on your cycle, and maybe after you finish the cycle you can tell your practitioner how it went so they can focus on the treatment. Check with your OB/GYN or primary to see if alternative medicine would be a good option.
Hi, Generally if you have been trying for a year to conceive with no results western medicine would say there could be a fertility issue. However, Acupuncture and or herbal therapy is very beneficial to prepare your body for conception if your periods are not regular or are too light
or too heavy or your ovulation is not between 12-16 days of the cycle.
Ideally, you should start working with someone before you start trying. Working on your health overall will make anything having to do with fertility easier later. For most people they find acupuncture when they've already been trying for a while, so the focus will change from what is best for you overall to what is most likely contributing to any troubles with fertility. I wish you the best of luck for a simple and healthy pregnancy and baby!
Before, during and after (through pregnancy) of treatment.
If you have had trouble conceiving, and especially if you have just stopped birth control pills and want to get pregnant, I would consider seeing an Acupuncturist sooner rather than later to help rebalance your hormones and cycles.
You can start acupuncture for fertility at any point in your family journey. It can also be a great support with western treatment modalities such as Clomid, IUI, or IVF. As with everything, however, the sooner you start, the quicker you will see results.
It can be done anytime. Acupuncture assist in pregnancy is to administer acupuncture according to the changes of qi and blood at various stages of the menstrual cycle, thereby promoting the normal transformation of yin and yang in the body. Make menstruation come and go on time, thereby improving the quality of follicles, promoting ovulation, improving endometrial receptivity, and at the same time alleviating patient's anxiety, and significantly improving the clinical pregnancy rate of assisted reproduction.
Now
It is never too late. I recommend starting early though because it can take a couple of months or more depending on the person and the condition that is inhibiting the fertility.
One day before ovulation.
If you are trying to get pregnant naturally, start the acupuncture a month or two before you want to start trying. If you are doing IVF, start when you start suppressing the ovaries.

Good Luck!!
As soon as you're thinking about, you should get it! Acupuncture has a cumulative effect so the more you do leading up to trying to get pregnant, the better.
The answer to your question has a lot to do with why you're experiencing fertility issues in the first place. Not everyone experiences this issue for the same reason and it's not always solely the female partner who needs some level of treatment.

The first place any couple needs to start is with a reproductive health workup for both partners. Men can experience issues with sperm health, sperm counts, etc. For women the issues can range from hormonal to structural. Before deciding on a treatment plan, patients need to understand where the issues lie.

The other complicating factor is whether or not a patient is already using or has already tried conventional fertility treatments. This can range from hormonal adjustment designed to promote ovulation all the way to procedures like IUI or IVF.

The thing most fertility patients do not want to hear is that acupuncture and Chinese medicine are not quick fixes. Patients are generally looking at 3 months of treatment, sometimes more.

If there are fertility issues, both partners have had a workup, and the decision is to move forward with only acupuncture/Chinese medicine, I'd say 3-6 months of treatment at a minimum.

If the patient is combining acupuncture/Chinese medicine with more conventional treatment, I'd still say to start acupuncture 2-3 months ahead of any pharmaceuticals or procedures. There is some science that shows an acupuncture session just before and just after IVF can increase the odds of successful implantation, but most practitioners of Chinese medicine are going to want to set a baseline for you and that means a few weeks of treatment prior to the IVF procedure.

Fertility and fertility issues are an area where patients not only want an actual board certified, state licensed acupuncturist, but this person should also have an ABORM (American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine) certification. These will be people who attended and graduated from an accredited school of Chinese medicine and then continued their education specifically for fertility issues. ABORM.org has a practitioner lookup function on their website, I'd suggest starting there.

Since there aren't many licensed acupuncturists nationwide, and fewer still with an ABORM certification, a board certified state licensed acupuncturist with a solid track record in fertility would also probably help. To find someone like this you can use NCCAOM.org's 'Find a Practitioner' lookup.

Where I wouldn't necessarily expect great results is with any other provider who is offering 'acupuncture-like' services under the scope of some other license. These are people who often have minimal to no actual training in Chinese medicine. If you wouldn't expect a family doctor to fix a neurological issue, you shouldn't expect a chiropractor to be all that effective as an acupuncturist.
