When will my dentures stop hurting?

I got my dentures 5 days ago. They still hurt. When will my dentures stop hurting?

They do take some time to adjust to but I would contact the doctor that made them as it is very likely you need an adjustment to alleviate sore spots.

New dentures usually require a couple of appointments after to remove any
sore spots. If one is removed another can form but after a few appointments
they should fit well!
New dentures may require a number of adjustments -- please see your dentist for adjustments.
Dentures are not easy to get adjusted to. It takes a lot of time and patience. You may have to be seen for several minor adjustments before they get to a point where they feel comfortable. This can occur especially when teeth are removed. After the teeth are removed you will notice some swelling. A short time after as the area heals the gums will start to shrink thus the dentures not fitting the same and causing some sore spots. This is most definitely and easy fix although sometimes time consuming and frustrating. Just be patient. It will all work out!
