Hello, there are mainly two breast implant companies, Allergan and Mentor. I prefer Mentor. There are two kinds of implant materials, one is Saline, which is filled with IV solution, and the other is Silicone, which is a gel. Saline if it leaks is has less complications than silicone. Silicone feels more natural. The choice depends on you, your surgeon, and your chest anatomy. I have used products from both companies during my 31 years of practice as have most accomplished surgeons. I do, however, prefer Allergan implants, believing that they are superior.

There is no clear answer to that question. There are two basic implants, saline and silicone gel. Both come as round with various projecting or smooth-shaped or textured surfaces. Once you decide to have breast augmentation, your plastic surgeon should explain to you what would be the best implant.
