1. Leg and foot are two different regions. 2. Exercises should be diagnosis specific to provide the most benefit otherwise you are spinning your wheels.
depends on reason for pain
99% of the time it is from fallen arches and trigger point knots in the calves muscle as a result. And calcaneal spurs, and Achilles tendonitis, and subluxated talus bone, and even hip tilt are causes or end products of this. So if you squeeze your calves and that hurts, there's your answer. Get some orthotics made from the chiropractor.
The first thing to be determined is what is causing the leg pain. Is it actually the leg that is having the problem or is it the lower back or hip that is causing the issue in the leg? Exercise may not be the answer. Where is the pain originating from? Try to determine the source and try stretching the muscles that are most affected such as the hamstrings or calf muscles. Often, leg pain that is not from a strained muscle in the leg originates from the lower back. If this is the case, then try stretching the lower back with Cat-Cow yoga pose, spinal twists or knee to chest stretches. Strengthening the core is always a good thing. If you haven't been working out, start with planks. If the pain continues for more than a week or two, consult a good chiropractor for an examination to determine the cause of pain and get it fixed.

This depends on which structure is causing the pain. Once the correct structure is identified, then the correct treatment can be applied. I recommend receiving a Chiropractic examination and treatment from a Sports Chiropractor.
Sit up straight in a chair, with the feet flat on the floor.
Place the left foot on the right thigh.
Pull the toes up, toward the ankle. ...
Hold for 10 seconds.
Massaging the arch of the foot while stretching will help ease tension and pain.
Repeat this exercise 10 times on each foot.
As with any exercise, finding the cause of the foot pain is important as exercise may actually aggravate it. An evaluation can help determine the cause of the pain and then the appropriate excercise or stretching can be given. Dr Greenawalt
