It depends on the severity of the blockage ,ie symptoms, arteries involved and number of arteries. Also other risk factors
Treatment for blockages in the coronary arteries depends how many vessels are involved, the severityof the blockages, the degree of LV dysfunction, previous surgery or stents etc.  This is usually discussedwith an interventional cardiologist and a cardiac surgeon to decide which is best for you.
Depending on the number of heart artery blockages the option of open heart surgery versus stent placement can be determined. Consult your cardiologist for more details.
What kind of blockage. For a complete heart block, you may need a permanent pacemaker.
There is only one surgery for coronary artery blockage, which I presume is what you mean. It is bypass surgery also known as open heart surgery and it is very effective. However, a less invasive procedure called angioplasty is also very effective if the disease is not too extensive. That involves passing a catheter with a balloon on the end into the coronary artery and dilating.
There are different surgeries intended for a different types of "blockages." Arterial blockage may require coronary artery bypass (CABG). In general, arterial conduits are best. When a valve is abnormal, sometimes narrowed, or sometimes leaking, the valve may be repaired or replaced with either a treated one or an artificial one.
