Will eating too much sugar make me diabetic?

I am a 15 year old female. I want to know will eating too much sugar make me diabetic?

Sugar will not make one a diabetic. However, eating too much and gaining weight makes one at risk. Having a healthy diet and a healthy lifestyle will make a happier and healthier life. Excess sugar is not healthy.
Sugar does not cause diabetes, but diabetic patients are unable to metabolize or utilize sugar. When that happens, dangerous substances form which cause harm to the body, immediate and long term. Under the supervision of a dietician, small amounts of sugar may be eaten; it must be coordinated with properly dosed insulin (Type 1 diabetic) or an appropriate medication for Type 2 diabetes.

To eat too much sugar could produce an increased insulin production response. This could cause deposits of extra body fat and also create tissue resistance to insulin. It may predispose to type 2 diabetes. Moderation is recommended.
