“Will heel spur heal on its own?”
I have a heel spur. Will heel spur heal on its own?

A heel spur is usually not a cause of pain unless it's fractured or very prominent under the skin. If not fractured or prominent, a heel spur is usually there to stay. However, there is a very common condition known as plantar fasciitis that if not treated for a while can cause heel spur formation and this condition usually does heal on its own and requires treatment by a foot specialist/foot doctor.
The heel spur will not dissolve on its own. However, the inflammation that is caused by the ligament or muscle attached to the bone that caused the heel spur, can resolve on its own.
Hi! A heel spur will not resolve on its own, but the cause of the pain will. I recommend seeing a podiatrist for further assistance.
Heel spurs can only be removed by surgery. That said, they usually do not cause pain. I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle specialist (podiatrist) for diagnosis and treatment options.
