I am a 22 year old male. I was wondering are speech disorders treated in children in foster care? Are there any services provided for less privileged children?

Absolutely! If they are in the public school system and/or Medicaid or other state sponsored medical coverage. Services are available to them. If there are concerns for speech/language skills, ask for the child to be screened by voicing concerns to the child's school or guardian
The foster parents probably consult the responsible agencies to apprise them that there is a need for speech therapy. There are several clinics that service Medicaid children. The foster parents can get serviced through them. Home health can come to your house if the child is home bound for health reasons. Schools can also provide services.

Hi, yes!!! Early Intervention services are free for kids up to age 3 and are provided in most county’s. You can google “early intervention” for your county to get a contact number to set up an evaluation for free. There are also 3-5 programs that are free if your child qualifies.
