“Is breathlessness a sign of a weak heart?”
My mother is breathless when she wakes up in the mornings. Could this be a sign of a weak heart?

Mom should see a cardiologist to make sure she does not have a heart condition. She should not have any ankle swelling also or any chest pressure.
