“Can I go to work the next day after a tooth extraction?”
I am a 33 year old male. I want to know if I can go to work the next day after a tooth extraction?

That depends on the extraction. job duties, patient health and post operative pain level and control. The majority of tooth extractions are very low impact and have no limitations on work schedule. Impacted third molar and some other surgical extractions can have moderate to high level post op pain and may impact work duties and or schedule. The best answer will come from your treating clinician.
Working the day after a tooth extraction depends upon the difficulty of the procedure and your overall health. You should have this conversation with your dental surgeon.
Generally, yes. If you do heavy lifting or strenuous work, you will need to have a light work load for several day.

Most healthy individuals are able to return to work the day following an uncomplicated tooth extraction. But there are many exceptions that may make it harder to work the following day. Multiple tooth extractionswill mean more bleeding and soreness. Difficult extractions may mean bone removal to extract the tooth; thisis common with wisdom tooth extractions. If IV sedation or general anesthesia are administered, this will slow your recovery time. As in most cases, ask your dentist what he thinks is best for you.Dr. AL
