“Can a broken knuckle heal on its own?”
I am a 38 year old male. I broke my knuckle when assembling furniture. IKEA to be exact. Can a broken knuckle heal on its own? Should I see a doctor?

You need a brace when awake and you need an Xray.
While a “broken knuckle” (medically known as a fractured metacarpal head) may heal on its own, it may not heal correctly without proper medical treatment. I would absolutely recommend that you see a hand surgeon, which is either an orthopaedic or plastic surgeon who specializes in hand surgery, for proper evaluation and management.
You need an X-ray.
