The answer is yes! However "Pinched nerve" is a term mostly used improperly. If the nerve is actually pinched it is a serious problem and potentially surgical. This has to be ascertained and referred for further evaluations. The term "pinched nerve" is commonly used for conditions better identified as aggravated or irritated nerves. This condition is treated successfully by Doctors of Chiropractic worldwide. An evaluation is necessary to differentiate and determine the treatment Protocol and this is what Doctors of Chiropractic due in the practices daily.
Yes. But what some chiropractors a pinched nerve is not. You need a good orthopedic-neurologic assessment to determine a pinched nerve from a disc herniation

As chiropractors, we specialize in the treatment of pinched nerves! In our office, a diagnosis would include a consultation, physical and orthopedic examination, as well as nerve studies including thermography, Surface EMG testing, HRV testing, and, most importantly, digital weight bearing X-rays.
Hope that helps!

Pressure on the nerve causing localized or radiating pain is part of a thorough exam, but the source of the pressure is determined and that would be your diagnosis. That is more specific and allows us to create the best treatment plan for your concerns.
Yes this is the bread and butter of a Chiropractic practice.
