In my experience, yes, although clearly we live in a universe with infinite possibilities and nothing works for everyone. But yes... anxiety seems to respond quite well to acupuncture treatment.

Absolutely! Acupuncture can very effectively help to manage anxiety attacks.
Yes it does
Yes extremely well!
Yes, acupuncture can help with anxiety attacks - both in decreasing the severity of the attacks as well as the number. I actually suffered from anxiety attacks before I began acupuncture as a patient myself many years ago! In Chinese medicine terms, one would say that acupuncture can help to "calm the Shen or spirit." In western medicine terms, we would say that acupuncture level of hormones, neurotransmitters and other chemicals in our bodies at the proper time. It also helps to relax the muscles and the brain - which in return helps to release proper chemicals, like endorphins, GABA, serotonin, etc.
Yes it can
Acupuncture works well with anxiety. There are specific protocols that have been established and proven to be effective.
Absolutely! We have a proven record with anxiety by utilizing modalities that most physicians don’t use or are unaware of.
Yes, absolutely! An acupuncturist can see which treatment would be best for you by looking at your tongue and listening to your main symptoms. Cupping is usually beneficial with the acupuncture with panic attacks. I would also recommend reflexology which uses pressure points on the feet to help calm the energy.
Yes, pretty good!
There are no guarantees with any medicine, but I have had good luck with anxiety on several conditions. One, that my patients come on a regular basis. One treatment is not a cure all. Or coming every 2 months just isn't going to cut it either. Two, that you are doing all you can on your end to combat your anxiety....going to counseling, practicing deep breathing techniques daily, doing some sort of internal exercise such as tai chi or yoga, etc. Three, that you keep a log of what happens before an anxiety attack hits. Are there certain foods that trigger it? Sugar? Carbs? Alcohol? Is it caused by social situations, family issues or relationship issues? What do you do to deal with the anxiety? Do you self medicate? Do you eat or sleep excessively? How you handle an anxiety attack may cause you to beat yourself up later therefore, causing more anxiety. The more information you are armed with, the better handle you can get on your anxiety. I hope this helps.....good luck!!!

Yes. Acupuncture can help treat anxiety. I usually start using points on the ear first to treat, then body points. If the patient needs more help, I will add an herbal formula to help.
Yes, anxiety treatment is very successful when treated by acupuncture.
Be well, be confident, we can help.
Yes, anxiety/depression/stress/PTSD is very beneficial with acupuncture. It may take 6 visits.
Oh ABSOLUTELY!!
It can, but not all practitioners are good at treating all issues. Find a Licensed Acupuncturist who has experience with anxiety and they can help you get to the root of your issue and help you relax. It may take a while before it has long lasting results, but that depends on how your body personally responds to treatments. If you go and the practitioner isn't helping, feel free to find someone else who might do better. We all do want to help you get better and emotions can be treated very successfully.

Good luck.
Yes, acupuncture can help reduce stress, anxiety, and panic disorder symptoms.
Yes, acupuncture is very good for anxiety, stress, and depression.
Yes, it can help you relieve the anxiety. You will feel lighter about anxiety.
Yes, acupuncture can be very successful in the treatment of anxiety. Probably 20% of my practice is anxiety related. Chinese medicine has a few different root causes for anxiety, and some respond more quickly to treatment than others. You'll want to give Chinese medicine 4-5 treatments to really get a feel for how well it's going to work in your particular case.

It's also important to note that some cases of anxiety have a lifestyle component. If this is the case for you, you'll get much better results from treatment if you're open to making lifestyle changes as well.

For the best results, please make sure you're seeing a board certified and state licensed practitioner. if you're outside of CA, you can use the "Find a Practitioner" lookup at NCCAOM.org. You can also Google your state's acupuncture association to find someone local to you.
Absolutely. We can help you identify your triggers (if you haven't already), and work to change how your body emotionally and physically reacts to them.

I highly suggest working with a private practitioner who does not treat in a clinic style. Clinic style is typically cheaper, but they don't spend much time with the patient and likely won't discuss how you're feeling. Use an acupuncturist who can offer more time to truly get to the root of your attacks.
