Can an ECG detect a stroke?

I am a 38 year old female. I want to know if an ECG can detect a stroke?

No. An EKG shows the rate and rhythm of the heart. However, there are certain cardiac rhythms that could be associated with strokes.
An EKG cannot detect a stroke. It can detect a heart attack, however, although not all heart attacks can be seen on an EKG.
