How does chiropractor manipulation work?

If I've been having upper back pain, how does a chiropractor reduce it? Do they use their hands or a machine?

Every chiropractor will have a variety of techniques, and each chiropractor is different in their approach. Regardless, a good chiropractor should take a detailed history and perform a comprehensive examination to determine the cause of your discomfort before recommending a treatment.
Chiropractic manipulation is a form of movement with high fours putting the joint in parrot physiological range of motion that the joint needs to be when restoring full function back into that joint by having an adjustment your chiropractor can access which joint is not movable and it’s not moving freely by adjusting that joins you will restore the function and ranges of motion back into the joint
There are different techniques within the Chiropractic profession, some use machines, some are done by hand. Each technique aims to align the vertebra of your spine to increase mobility, decrease pain and to allow your nerves to function at their full potential.
The chiropractic manipulation is mainly to realign a vertebrae that has been out of place and pinching the spinal nerve in the upper back. Chiropractic adjustment will realign the vertebrae, relieve the nerve irritation and promote nerve flow and healing with a quick thrust which is painless and you may hear a clicking sound an indication that the problem has been corrected. He use of machines will also be used prior to the manipulation to relax the tight knitted muscles that will be pulling the vertebrae out from alignment. I highly recommend for you to see a chiropractor as they are a specialist in your type or condition. The chiropractic spinal adjustment is painless and feels good as it releases endorphins the body’s natural pain killers.
Chiropractic uses hand or instrumentation to detect and correct subluxations in the spine and body by moving bones putting pressure on nerves causing pain.
Hope I helped. Got your back.

Hands are best

It depends on what is found on examination and the specific chiropractor that is treating you. An evaluation for upper back pain would include a full muscle and joint examination, orthopedic testing and in some cases x-rays or posture scans are used in order to find the source of the problem causing the pain. There are many different chiropractic techniques to alleviate back pain, some using the hands, some using the machines, so the best step is to get evaluated first to determine which treatment options would suit your case the best.
