I am a 27 year old female. I want to know do flip flops cause knee pain?

I have not come across any evidence that suggests flip flops cause knee pain. It is important to wear the appropriate foot wear for any task that one would be performing. You should not run a marathon or sprint in flip flops. Make sure you wear the appropriate footwear for the task you would be performing
If you are overly knock kneed and have preexisting knee problems,the non supportive nature of flip flops may cause excessive foot and ankle movements which may contribute to abnormal knee cap tracking and lead to knee pain. Flip flops should only be worn to protect bottoms of your feet around the pool or beach and not worn all day as “shoes “
