Does a CT scan show colon polyps?

I am a 44 year old male with possibly malignant colon polyps. I want to know if a CT scan shows colon polyps?

CT is used for virtual colonoscopy which is used to detecting polyps and uses a very specific technique. You would have to go to a center which can offer this test. But, you would still have to go under a colonic prep which would be similar to a conventional colonoscopy. GI doctors perform colonoscopies to detect polyps.
CT is not sensitive to colon polyps unless the exam is performed as CT colonography.
CT scan colonography is a special exam that can see polyps...done only in certain specialized centers...but patient needs to be cleaned out well by drinking laxative liquid...Colonoscopy done by gastroenterologist..is still the best exam
Not usually
Only if you have a CT colonogram...so most don't.
