My son has to undergo a bone marrow transplant. I need your advice on what should be the factors to consider before the transplant.

Depending on the age of your child, there are things to consider before a bone marrow transplant that your child's transplant doctor will discuss. They will be testing for infection risk, blood type, dental status, fertility preservation, heart function, kidney function, liver function and general blood work. I wish the best for your child.
