Hand Surgeon Questions Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Why do I feel a tingling pain in my hands while I'm working?

I work on the computer pretty much all day long and I am feeling a tingling pain the last few weeks as I work. What could be the reason for this?

It is important to always seek a medical evaluation by a licensed professional to ensure it is not the manifestation of something more serious. You also want to seek help sooner rather than later to prevent any further damage to the area.
There could be many reasons and if this persists, you should see a physician. Numbness and tingling may be secondary to carpal tunnel syndrome. If you also notice tingling while driving and at night, then it is likely that you do have carpal tunnel syndrome.
With that symptom one would first consider a neurological source. It could be a pinched nerve in the wrist or neck or elsewhere. Or there are other possible sources. Please consult with your local orthopedic surgeon.
