My 6 year old daughter is extremely shy, and has a hard time socializing with other children. What can I do to help her?

Start a group fun activity. Add a sport.
Try to get her involved in playdates with small groups and encourage her in an activity, i.e., soccer, ballet, etc., that she could meet other children. If she finds an activity that she can excel at, she usually will "come out of her shell."
