Nasal sprays to flush out mucous, decongestant meds and steroid spray if bad
There are 3 different types of sinus pain and/or infection:

1 - Microbial infection. Take antibiotic.
2 - Allergic sinusitis. Antihistamine or Corticostroide, your GP's choice.
3 - Viral. Inhalation as per your GP.

And management with Paracetamol or stronger medicines per your GP.

Any infection is an inflammatory process. Non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs, the mainstay of which is Ibuprofen, are good for damping the inflammatory process and the pain.
