Cough can be caused by a wide variety of conditions -- each one with its own special approach. The most important next step will be to determine the CAUSE of the cough, which is crucial to determining the proper treatment. See your pediatrician for further evaluations.

This child needs to see her physician so that the cause of the cough can be determined. Cough is a symptom, not a disease. Therefore, until the cause is identified, then we cannot address the cough. Causes for cough include viral infections, irritants such as tobacco smoke, asthma, pneumonia, sinus infections, aspirated foreign bodies, and many others. Please consult with your physician and let her know how long the cough has been going on, accompanying symptoms such as fever or runny nose, any contagious contacts, etc.
Good luck.

She needs to be seen by her pediatrician. If "she is always coughing," there must be a reason behind it and that needs to be addressed.
