Sorry to hear you are suffering from nerve pain. Do you know the cause? Is there a history of trauma? There are many ways to treat neuropathic pain and, depending on the diagnosis, there are specific interventions. You're welcome to schedule a free 30 minute phone call with me. You will find the link on my FB or IG page
You are quite young for this problem. What is the cause or the rest of the history? I recommend first see a neurologist.
The following suggestions can help you manage peripheral neuropathy:
-Take care of your feet, especially if you have diabetes.
-Quit smoking.
-Eat healthy meals.
-Massage.
-Avoid prolonged pressure.
-Set priorities.
-Acceptance & Acknowledgement.
-Find the positive aspects of the disorder.
The most common treatments for neuropathic pain include:
-Over-the-counter pain medication. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as Aleve and Motrin, are sometimes used to treat neuropathic pain.
-Prescription medication.
-Antidepressant drugs.
-Anticonvulsants.

Regular massages help but unfortunately there isn't much that is proven to work. Sleep and healthful eating habits can help from keeping it progressing.
If you have neuropathy pain and numbness, chiropractic may be able to help alleviate it naturally. Chiropractic works through the manual manipulation of the spine by a licensed chiropractor. Neuropathy is caused by impaired peripheral nerves. These impaired nerves can make it difficult for the brain and body to communicate. The symptoms may include tingling, numbness and shooting and burning pain. Chiropractic can help to restore proper balance back to the spine.
The question that needs to be answered is what is causing the pain and what needs to be done to treat it properly for the best results. Who diagnosed it as Neuropathic? Neuropathic diagnosis is rare for a teenager and means that the nerve is permanently damaged. However, nerves are aggravated many times and cause pain. This may be associated with a lot of pain and yet respond quickly to Chiropractic treatment.
This depends on the cause of the neuropathic pain. If the pain is caused from a pinched nerve, then Chiropractic can be a good treatment option.
If you are experiencing neuropathic pain, you have a potentially serious problem, most likely to the nervous system, that needs to be evaluated. The sooner the better! There are many possible causes to this type of pain. You need to find a health care provider who will take a detailed history and perform a comprehensive examination to find out the cause of your pain, make a proper diagnosis, and make appropriate recommendations.
Dear 15 year old,
First, I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this very difficult problem.
In neuropathic pain, if possible, it is important to have an empathetic, well trained psychiatrist or pain specialist who can use multiple approaches. That person will do a thorough diagnostic evaluation of your pain. There are many treatments that are available, and it often helps to use several treatment approaches. These would include meditation, yoga, tai chi, chi gong, acupuncture, exercise, devices that stimulate nerves, medications and psychotherapy. If the main person=0D treating you cannot provide all these treatments, that person can refer you to someone who can for parts of your treatment. Medications can include anti-seizure medicines, like Neurontin, SSRI's and tricyclic antidepressants, anti-inflammatory agents and various pain medications. At this point, the most important part of your recovery, is finding a physician who can provide good care.
Best wishes,
