How do you irrigate an eye?

I am a 29 year old male. I want to know how can I irrigate an eye?

Eye irrigation can be done to help relieve irritation, discomfort, burning, and/or itching. It is important to use a sterile eyewash solution. To irrigate your eyes: lean back and open eyes wide, squeeze the bottle and add solution without the dropper touching the eyes, and flush for as long as needed.
You can use plain water or a bottle of artificial tears. Do not use saliva or any substance that is not made specifically for the eyes. SO
Carefully. With an approved eye irrigating solution.

A special irrigating cannula or an irrigating contact lens is used to irrigate an eye.
Your tears are natural and the best eye irrigators, thus there are limited reasons one needs to irrigate an eye. It would be important to know why an eye needs irrigation where more than tears are required.
Used sterile bottled water
