That depends on what you mean by a misaligned spine. Regardless, you need to find a qualified health care professional that will take a detailed history and perform a thorough examination before treating.
There are many ways to treat a misaligned spine, but knowing the cause is the best way to create a proper care plan. Most Chiropractic and Physical Therapy can help, using different modalities, adjustments, and rehabilitative exercises.
By getting continuous Chiropractic care and activities we encourage to help manage this misalignment.
Hello,
There are various ways a chiropractor aligns the spine, by an adjustment of the vertebrae, releasing tight muscles/stretching, electrical stim, or using special blocks. An evaluation/exam is an important first step to evaluate the misalignment.
Thank you,

The answer to your question truly depends on the root cause of the misalignment. There are functional vs. structural misalignments and within those is it due to muscles, joints, nerves, and more likely a combination of all of the above. In our office, treatment usually consists of a combination of muscle work, manual or instrument adjustments and physiotherapy techniques such as e-STIM and therapeutic exercise.

We perform a thorough examination to determine the cause of the symptoms. Then propose a treatment program accordingly. Treatment may include adjustments, physical therapy, exercise recommendations...
I don't like the term "alignment". In my opinion treating the spine is about function. Everybody's spine is different and responds differently. The goal is to make the spine work well within its own structural parameters. Stretching, exercises, posture, habits and activities of daily living can make a difference. It is important to get help from a licensed professional. Doctors of Chiropractic (DC) are trained to diagnose and treat all the areas of the neuromuscular skeletal system and can assist in developing a program for your individual needs.
