Try iron rich foods. If the problem persists or new symptoms arise, please see your doctor.
It is usually iron deficiency in young women, so increasing iron in the diet and supplements.
She may have a low red blood count because of menstruation. She can help that by eating foods rich in iron and/or taking an oral iron supplement. If that does not help the problem she should talk with her pediatrician about it.
THE FIRST STEP IS TO FIND THE CAUSE. THERE ARE NUMEROIUS CAUSES, BUT A COMMON CAUSE IN YOUNG FEMALES IS IRON DEFICIENCY SECONDARY TO CHRONIC MENSTRUAL BLOOD LOSS(AND SINCE BLOOD CELLS CONTAIN IRON, THE BODY CAN BECOME DEPLETED IN IRON AND THUS BLOOD CELLS CAN NOT BE PRODUCED FAST ENOUGH TO REPLACE THOSE THAT ARE LOST.

BUT, AGAIN, THE FIRST STEP IS TO DETERMINE THE ROOT CAUSE, WHICH USUALLY IS FAIRLY SIMPLE TO DO, AND THEN THE TREATMENT HINGES ON THAT. OTHER COMMON CAUSES OF ANEMIA(LOW BLOOD DELL COUNT) INCLUDE GENETIC DISEASES(LIKE SICKLE CELL OR THALLASEMIA), CERTAIN VITAMIN DEFICIENCIES(IE- B12 AND FOLATE), BONE MARROW DISEASES, CHRONIC DISEASES(LIKE KIDNEY FAILURE OR CHRONIC INFLAMMATION OR INFECTION), AND HEMOLYSIS(WHERE THE BLOOD CELLS ARE DESTROYED BY THE BODY.
