Pacemaker surgery is a very simple procedure and the recovery is only a few days.
A few days. There is minimal discomfort.
The recovery period after a pacemaker is very brief, usually a few days. It often performed with sedation. A sling is often given after this procedure to prevent dislodgment of the pacemaker but patients usually recover quickly.
Oh, about as long as it takes for the local anesthetic to wear off. In other words, not very long.
There is no down time for this procedure. You can resume full activity the following day.
It should not take more than a couple of days to recover. It is important to remain on monitor for at least 24 hours to be sure that lead doesn’t dislodge
