I am a 29 year old female and I want to have a baby boy. How many days before ovulation can you conceive a boy?

Well, first of all, it does not matter when you ovulate and when you conceive to increase your chances of a boy or a girl. It is basically a 50/50 chance whenever you conceive and when you ovulate and when you have intercourse to conceive has nothing to do with it. Don't forget, the sex of the baby is based on whether it is a Y sperm or an X sperm, so ovulation has nothing to do with it. In terms of the best chance to conceive: It usually is within 2 days of when you ovulate (2 days before and 2 days after).

There isn’t a reliable way to select for a baby’s gender by natural conception/timing. Use of in-vitro fertilization with screening of the embryos with genetic testing prior to placing them in the uterus can give you information on the embryo’s gender though. This service is provided by physicians trained in reproductive endocrinology/infertility (REI).
You can't time it for gender.
