Consult with a hand Surgeon.
What you describe sounds like a ganglion cyst. They are quite common and easy to treat, but many times they do return. It is important to always seek a medical evaluation by a licensed professional to ensure it is not the manifestation of something more serious. You also want to seek help sooner rather than later to prevent any further damage to the area.

Oil accumulation? What kind of oil? We do not move the joints with oil. If it is a bump and is growing, you must take it out; there is no reason to live with pain. And find out really what kind of bump it is with the pathologist.
It really depends on how much is bothering you. If the symptoms are significant in limiting your daily activities, I would suggest you consider removal.
Most likely what you are describing is a wrist ganglion cyst. This is a fluid-filled that communicates with the joint. If it causes pain or you do not like how it looks, then it can either be aspirated or surgically removed. I usually recommend first trying aspiration, although ganglion cysts oftentimes recur after aspiration.
If you are having pain I would remove it but be sure to get it checked to make sure it is not anything to worry about. I wish you well. oledochouse
If it has a negative effect on your activities of daily living, then yes.
