Post op pain varies.
Local anesthesia could cause a bit of discomfort, but soon you won't feel anything.

OTC pain medication should be enough to relieve any discomfort after the procedure
Cysts can develop in a variety of places in the mouth. Removal is done surgically and any surgery will involve some pain which can range considerably depending upon many factors. However, the pain is usually not very great and lasts only a short time. The alternative is to allow the cyst to grow larger and risk a more involved surgery and greater pain. Your best option is to have it removed as soon as possible and limit the post surgery discomfort.
