As long as you do not puncture the coratid artery, yes! :-)
Yes, of course, but you need to go to a qualified practitioner. With continuous sessions of treatment, your neck pain can be gone.
Yes, acupuncture is safe for treating chronic and acute neck pain. A trained, licensed acupuncturist will be able to safely and effectively treat your neck for pain relief. I have found in my own clinic that the combination of acupuncture and gua sha is of great relief for those suffering with neck pain.
Hello,
Yes acupuncture is a safe and effective modality to treat chronic neck pain if administered by a licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac, P.OM, DAOM, PhD, MD). Just remember that not all chronic neck pains are the root causes of the problem.
Best regards,
Danny Khounh , DAOM, P.OM.

Acupuncture works great for any neck pain and for any cause (stress, disc, arthritis, etc.). Please consult your local acupuncturist.

Absolutely. If you feel uncomfortable about needles going near your neck, tell your acupuncturist. In most cases, your acupuncturist does not need to use local points to provide relief for your neck pain. I practice Balance Method Acupuncture and I do not needle where it hurts. Hope this helps!
Acupuncture is safe to treat neck issues. There are no reports in the literature showing complications caused by acupuncture.
Acupuncture is the safest treatment for any patient at any age, especially for spinal pain management, it's very effective.
Thank you for your question,
If your pain is caused from muscular skeletal issues such as tension or arthritis, generally acupuncture is safe and can be helpful for neck pain. Talk with your primary care physician about the cause of your neck pain and options, and take the time to find a skilled, well-trained, and appropriately credentialed/licensed acupuncturist.
Kind regards,
Dr. Buckalew

Good afternoon,
Acupuncture is good for most neck pain, but it really depends on the cause that created the pain. You should talk to your acupuncturist.

Great question. You’re right: the neck is a sensitive area! However, acupuncture for the neck, with someone certified, licensed, regulated, should be perfectly safe. I find it’s best to have a connection with the practitioner and to breathe, such as in yoga, in order to make the experience more relaxed and pleasurable! Also, I recommend for the neck to seek a practitioner who is also proficient in Tui Na, Chinese bodyworks similar to, but predates chiropractic! Most certainly. Acupuncturist complete (at least) 3 years of extensive education and training and know exactly how deep they can safely needle. We learn about all of the body systems; anatomy and physiology, all of the structures and bony landmarks. If there was an area of your neck that you did not feel comfortable being needled, your practitioner would or should respect that and needle other areas that target neck pain. Once you see how easy it is, and virtually painless, I think you will feel more relaxed and allow your acupuncturist to needle where they think will best treat your condition. Good luck and good Qi!!!

Yes. I recommend you go to a NCCAOM Acupuncturist not a PT, Chitopractor or MD for your services. They are experts in their field.
You need to find a licensed acupuncturist to treat your neck pain or insert needles on the neck. It is safe.
Yes, acupuncture for chronic neck pain is very safe. It’s used in pain management centers at top hospitals.
Yes. When administered by a state licensed or certified acupuncturist, acupuncture is very safe for the entire body.
Hello! Acupuncture performed in the neck is very safe. Acupuncturist are trained in western anatomy and we are well-trained to avoid the major arteries in the neck.
First, yes, your neck is safe for acupuncture needling - there are many points on the next and professional acupuncturists are trained in anatomy and physiology and know where to needle and where to not needle for your safety.
Second, just because the pain is IN he neck does not mean that the needles will GO into the neck. Sometimes the treatments are local (near area being treated) and sometimes they are distal (away from area being treated). So, there's really no worry either way.
Good luck.

Yes it is safe! As an oriental medicine practicioner we can treat the neck safely avoiding the mayor arteries or we can work using distal areas of the body like the arms.
