Some people have bulging discs without showing any symptoms of pain. The question is whether or not you have any symptoms from the bulging disc and if riding your bike aggravates the symptoms. If you have no pain and riding your bike does not cause pain, you should have no problem riding your bike.
Street riding is okay, but off road has lots of bumps. It is almost unheard of for a 16-year-old to have a bulging disk.
Yes, much better than running. Swimming is good too.
Disc start generating early in life. I don’t believe riding a bicycle would be a significant issue regarding disc degeneration.
Depends on the location & severity of the bulging disc. Swimming and bike riding are the best exercises for the body/joints in general (less stress & pounding).
Bike riding is a great exercise. There are exercises for back & core strengthening & stretching to alleviate low back pain.
Stretching before & after riding bicycle is important.
