“Is going barefoot good for bunions?”
I am a 28 year old male. I want to know if going barefoot is good for bunions?

Some bunions are inherited. You should wear wide shoes with square toes. Avoid narrow, pointy-toed shoes.

Hello,
Going barefoot is generally not a good idea if you have bunions. Bunions are an abnormal alignment between your big toe and the first metatarsal bone in your foot. You should visit with a podiatrist, a sports medicine doctor or orthopedist with an interest if foot problems. Typically a biomechanical examination of your feet will be performed and custom orthotics (arch supports) can be prescribed. You need to wear good supportive shoes the vast majority of the time.
