You need to take him to an ophthalmologist
If a patient has floaters in the eyes they need to be checked by an ophthalmologist. Floaters can be an early sign of retinal tears and retinal detachments which are very serious conditions.
The child needs to be examined and have a comprehensive dilated eye exam.
Can be, you need to see an ophthalmologist.
Floaters can be normal, but if they are multiple at a time like a stage curtain coming down, or a flash of light, persistent like a beacon on a lighthouse, then they need to be seen. As most young children may not be able to describe it in great detail, I would suggest they be seen just to rule out any issues as soon as possible. These symptoms can lead to retinal tears and retinal detachments which can cause serious issues.
Thank you for reaching out to us and best wishes!

While it is likely not an issue, a dilated eye exam is indicated. SO
I would recommend that your child have a thorough dilated eye examination. There are some conditions in which an individual sees floaters that may require care.
Usually not dangerous but it is best to have a checkup
