Make sure lenses are from a reputable sources. Some state eye associations have lists available. Have trust in your eye doctor on what is recommended for your eye conditions such as dry eyes. Know all your options.
It is essential to follow some guidelines to ensure your safety and the quality of the contacts.

- Prescription: have a valid contact lens prescription from an eye doctor. It is illegal to sell contact lenses without one
-Retailers: purchase from a reputable retailer with a good track record of quality products
-Verify the prescription: make sure what you get matches what your eye doctor prescribed. Double check the power, base curve, & diameter
-Expiration date: the expiration date should go beyond the time you plan to use the contacts. You don't want that last pair to expire before you get a chance to use it

Remember to have regular check ups with your eye doctor to ensure the contacts are not causing harm and ensure your prescription is up-to-date.
Yes, it is fine as long as the contact lens prescription is up to date and that specific brand has been verified by your eye doctor. The reason being is that when we are prescribing contact lenses, we are looking at how that specific brand fits on your eye. We prescribe the brand that works best for you- depending on the comfort, vision, and overall health of your eye. Kindest, Tiffani B. Jackson, OD
Great question. There should not be any issues ordering your contact lenses on-line from a reputable and responsible company BUT, you must be sure that your contact lens prescription is up-to-date and has not expired. Every aspect of your prescription must match what you ordered including the manufacturer, base curve, prescription, diameter, wearing time, and oxygen permeability. Sometimes companies try to provide customers with similar products than what is ordered or required. They may have an over-supply of certain contact lenses which may look like they are OK, when they are not. It is usually a cost issue on the part of the supplier. And DEFINITELY be very careful of any contact lens or contact lens solution product coming from China. Do not accept nor wear any contact lens product nor use any solution that has not been specifically prescribed for you, ever. And certainly, if you have any concerns or questions, check with your eye doctor. Good luck and best wishes.
No. You should always see an optometrist to get a prescription first.
You have to have a current contact lens prescription.
Yes, as long as it’s from an authentic vendor.
