Plastic Surgeon Questions Rhinoplasty

How long after rhinoplasty can I blow my nose?

I had a rhinoplasty almost two weeks ago and feel stuffed up. I also feel like there is hard stuff in my nose but I am afraid to pick at anything because I do not want to mess with the stitches. How long after a rhinoplasty can I blow my nose without risking any damage?

Thank you for your question.

It is usually recommended that after a rhinoplasty procedure, you do not blow your nose for about 6 weeks. You will need to use saline spray to get rid of any fullness that you feel in your nose.
You may blow your nose two weeks after surgery but the best thing to do is to see your surgeon who can look inside your nose and clean your airway if necessary.
