Helplessness, hopelessness, worthlessness, poor appetite, poor sleep may manifest in weak physical appearance.
There are many symptoms. Physical symptoms (many) can be a depressive equivalent to depression, especially if there is no organic reason for that depression.
The most severe are being exhausted, having trouble getting out of bed and sometimes not eating. Related emotional symptoms are severe negativity and not wanting to do anything.
