I am a 42 year old female and I have arthritis. What can an orthopedic doctor do for arthritis?

We can treat you with medication, physical therapy, and activity modification. If non-surgical treatments fail, we recommend a joint replacement if the arthritis affects the hip, knee, or shoulder. For the back or ankle, we usually recommend fusion.
