“What can you not eat after getting dentures?”
I am a 59 year old female. I have partial dentures now. What can you not eat after getting dentures?

After a while, you can eat everything, but your biting pattern should be simultaneously biting on both sides. People have problems with lettuce.
There are restrictions to the food you can eat after having complete dentures. As the chewing power will be reduced. It will not be as easy to eat hard to chew type of food. However; you could do implant supported dentures that will give you much more support.
Hi there,
At first try soft foods....You need to feel out and get use to the new partial. its totally different than your own teeth. with time you will be able to chew stake and your favorite food! Just be patient and let your doctor know if you have any sore spots and he/ she will be happy to adjust it!
Good luck.

Hello, certain foods become difficult to chew with dentures. We advice all patients to cut their food, if possible, instead of biting into it. Also, patients are advised that speech and taste may be effected when transitioning into a full denture.
