What could cause a numbing sensation in my arm?

I am a 19-year-old male and sometimes I have a numbing sensation in my arm. What could it be?

It sounds like compression of a nerve or blood vessels. It could be either of those or both, but it is something I’d go see my chiropractor to evaluate.
Numbness is generally nerve related.
For someone your age, without any traumatic event, with these symptoms is almost always related to posture imbalances, called Upper Cross Syndrome.
Usually, this is when the arm is held in one position too long with inadequate blood flow or pressure on a nerve.
