Eyelid twitches or spasms are usually caused by stress, fatigue or caffeine. They usually go away without treatment in a few days or weeks. If they are not improving a complete ophthalmologic exam should be performed.
It could be due to stress. This is probably tick and should resolve, if persists discuss it with your pediatrician. If any other unusual symptoms present consider seeing a neurologist. This condition is very common, try not to correct your child when he does it. Once again if the condition persists you need to consult his doctor

It usually means nothing and occasionally occurs in children and adolescents. It is best to ignore it and not draw attention to it. It will always eventually go away.

It means that he needs to see an Ophthalmologist or Pediatric Ophthalmologist to determine which of several issues can result in this.
