There are many different styles of taping. It really all depends upon what you're trying to accomplish.
Athletic taping is a generalized technique. The technique most are familiar with is ankle taping such as for basketball. However, there are various types of tape and techniques which could be used. Everything from kinesiotaping (including but not limited to KT, Spyder, RockTape etc.) McConnell taping, and the standard Athletic taping using the generally white athletic tape. Many different tissue injuries can be addressed using various techniques.
